Weekend of Anniversaries
Yoz people. Well as you can see i am trying hard to combat procrastination (yaya i know i still way slack when it comes to it, but at least effort is there...dun expect too much sia)
Haha..well as the title suggests this was a weekend of anniversaries sia. First, was "tied down" with my camp's anniversary dinner. 35th Commando Anniversary to be exact. Haha...it was quite hilarious in the sense that the SAF Music and Drama Company's performance was quite "entertaining", and of cos this brand new segment called "Commando Idol", where a xiao on team actually sang a S.H.E song. Lol. That almost faced a walkout by e audience. Not to mention my C.O. was part of the "Idol" judging. haha...felt funny that his weird comments often was not well-received/responded with the general audience. Well, guess it must be because of all his religous training that i think he's too "high" a level for another normal mortal to comprehend ba.
Bought a "boot" of draft Tiger Beer that night. "Boot" cos the beer came with a special glass Boot to keep. for $5. haha...was quite concentrated and as usual, my face became so red that there was some concern. However, as usual too, inside of that redness, i am cool. Really. Can't say so much for my colleague, Terence, though. Poor guy seems to be his first time drinking so much. Was complaining bout head pounding and even "vibrating". Lol. Gotta admire his dare-to-try spirit though. : ) Anyway, later, my "favorite" Warrant Officer, also "qia" me two more glasses, while oggling at the "Tiger girls" butt, and trying to chat them up. They ignored him. Plainly. "Dao"ly.... haha...LOLx. What was that old fella thinking of? Young handsome chap nv do anything, he trying pattern? (haha..this part just a joke...)
As if all this not "happening" enough, I managed to jio e others into having a midnight LAN party of Warcraft. haha...yeah...despite the beer and stuff. Seems that i still e better player amongst my campmate. but i think i still sucked a lot at the game. Had quite a load of fun trying to defeat the computers. Should be one of the more unforgettable experiences in camp, getting 5 people to play LAN game in camp. : p Proud of this. (and using my Chief Clerk's I-net pc to play. Shssssh.)
Well after this happening Friday, was doing duty. Was quite sian cos need to charge signal batteries. Which exploded like pancakes. All the smoke and breaking casings. Fell asleep at four and woke up at 9. Yeah, missed dinner. (well, was trying to lose fat anyway.) Then spent time battling e itch of wasting away playing games, vs thinking bout my sales process. In e end, managed to focus on work, until my best friend when i was in Dunman came online. Then had a nice chat with him bout how chio and talented namie amuro was and other work and relationship stuff.
So came Sunday, December 5th, 2004. Apparently, I had not really known, but my mother told me that this day was my parents' 21st wedding anniversary. and she was complaining how she thought my father would definitely not know the reason why she's cooking "Western Delights" today. haha...well i was thinking...expected lah. In e end, just glad that e whole family had a good and nice dinner together. Came quite some way since i had to salvage my parent's wedding two years ago. Yea. just after e A levels then. No one knew, but it's ok. I usually keep and solve my own problems. Hopefully that's my strength. :)
haha...anyway had a Shiok Monday too. Cos i took DAY OFF. muahahah. Spent the first half of the day thinking more bout work stuff (and getting concussed from reading GY's "secret manual" haha) . Sent my brother to Bedok Polyclinic in the afternoon. Seems like the buggers' seriously cystic face warranted him a trip to National Skin centre. haha...lol. Then as i came home expecting to rest a while, Boon gave me a call, asked if i wanted to meet up for a meal or something. In e end, GY, Boon and I had a drink and some good food at Chomp Chomps's, the hawker style food center @ Serangoon Gardens. Now still quite "xei" from Baron's strong brew. but as usual i will survive la. Just hope to be able to give GY a morning call in the morning. Dun wan him to be late for camp.
Meanwhile, my dear student is still complaining bout her broken nails and skin incurred during her job as a cashier. and was saying how she hoped that she wun have to take this job ever in her lifetime. Poor thing. lol. Heartpain also how she kena this type of torture, so tell her to drink more water and put on moisturiser and stuff. Hopes she will not tio any more injury until her job ends this weekend. btw she told me Carrefour uses enough plastic bags per day to cost a Plasma TV. So busy. No wonder e poor gal hurt her hands. Anyway gd luck to her. Maybe get back to her when nearing e end of her 'crazy' job ba.
